A STORY OF LOSS, LOVE, HOPE AND THE BEAUTY WE ALMOST MISS

Some seasons of life leave us changed. My speaking message is a heartfelt conversation about grief, hope, connection, and learning to notice the meaningful moments that are still here.

MORE THAN A STORY ABOUT LOSS

When I speak, I share that story honestly and from the heart — the grief, the signs, the sunsets, the unexpected moments of comfort, and the way Whispers & Wings eventually grew from it all.
But this is not simply a story about loss.
It is a message about hope, connection, remembrance, resilience, and learning to notice life again.
My goal is for people to leave feeling encouraged rather than heavy. To feel understood. To be reminded that they do not have to rush through difficult seasons or pretend everything is okay. And, perhaps most importantly, to begin noticing the moments that are still happening around them — the people who love them, the memories they carry, the quiet blessings, the answered prayers, the unexpected laughter, the sunsets, and the little reminders that there is still beauty to be found.

A MESSAGE BORN FROM A REAL STORY

We lose someone we love. We walk through grief, transition, uncertainty, or simply the weight of trying to keep moving when life feels heavier than it once did. In those moments, encouragement can be powerful — not because it erases what happened, but because it reminds us that hope and beauty can still exist alongside the hard things.
My speaking message grew from my own journey after losing my sister, Michelle, and the 52 sunsets I intentionally stopped to notice during the first year without her. What began as a simple way to remember someone I loved became something much bigger: a lesson in slowing down, paying attention, and recognizing the small moments of light we so easily overlook.

WHAT I HOPE YOUR AUDIENCE TAKES WITH THEM.

A renewed sense of hope. Permission to pause. A deeper appreciation for the ordinary moments that often become the ones we remember most. And a reminder that even when life looks different than we expected, meaningful moments are still ahead.
Whether your audience is walking through grief, caregiving, transition, burnout, faith, family challenges, or simply the realities of everyday life, this message meets people wherever they are.

A MEANINGFUL MESSAGE
FOR MANY KINDS OF GATHERINGS

This presentation can be thoughtfully adapted for churches, grief and bereavement groups, hospitals and healthcare organizations, funeral homes, caregiver communities, women’s groups, senior communities, nonprofits, retreats, conferences, employee events, community organizations, and other gatherings centered around encouragement, hope, remembrance, and connection.

SOMETIMES THE MESSAGE WE NEED MOST IS SIMPLY THIS:

The hard parts of our story matter — but they are not the only parts still being written.

There is still love. There is still hope.
There are still meaningful moments ahead.
And sometimes, when we slow down long enough to notice them,
we discover Beauty in the Overlooked.
